The Kerr that makes you go rawwrrrrr

I feel the need to pay tribute to one of the very few women who make me go crazy. She’s the kind who could sing Star Spangled Banner and make it sound like Ring of Fire and get away with it (though I don’t really know anything about her singing ability). Or a Sinatra song and make it sound like Lady Gaga.

She was probably the face who Elvis Costello had in mind when he sang She, or Ewan MacColl when he wrote The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face in 1957. Perhaps even when Roberta Flack sang the same song. Or LFO who really intended the song Girl on TV for her, instead of Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Okay, I’ll shut up. Say whatever it is you want to say, but you can’t deny if there was a Mensa counterpart for the hottest women of the world, she would be, not at the top 1%, but THE number one.

Holy. Cow.

The one above inspired this post. As I spent so many hours in a Marriott Hotel here in Manila over the weekend and passed by this ad box so many times, I just couldn’t help it. Thanks Bally. To make this post (more) informative, I’ll add tidbits of info after each photo.

Miranda is an Australian model born on April 20, 1983 in Sydney and was raised in a small town in New South Wales.  She started with Victoria’s Secret in 2007. They wrongfully placed her as an angel. Dude, c’mon, that woman’s a goddess! (I just sounded like an obsessed, maniacal fan, didn’t I?)

She started modeling when she was 13 and won an Australian nationwide model search in 1997, when she was 14. She initially modeled for Billabong brands then eventually with other major brands such as Baby Phat, Alex Perry and Roberto Cavalli.

She is of English, French, and Scottish descent. (Man, what a combo.)

Her debut in the US was through a contract with Maybelline New York. Following her success, she was offered by VS in 2007, as a replacement for Gisele Bundchen. She started her appearance in the annual VS fashion show though starting in 2006 until 2009.

Another Bally ad above.

She’s posed naked twice. First for Rolling Stones Australia in 2009 and second for Harper’s Bazaar in 2011. It was also in 2009 when she temporarily suspended her stint with VS and started her own skin care line, Kora Organics.

And second before the last photo below.

She went back to modeling for VS again in 2011 when she was chosen to strut the $2.5mil Fantasy Treasure bra.

So she’s had a few boyfriends, yaddah yaddah yaddah. Then she started dating this guy in 2007 and their engagement was announced in 2010. A month after, she announced they got married. That Orlando Bloom guy. Bastard. A very lucky bastard.

And finally…

In a feature in Cosmo Australia, she attributes her nice skin and hair to coconut oil, saying she takes four tablespoons of it a day, putting it either on salads, in her cooking or in green tea.

Miranda, come to my country and I’ll give you a lifelong supply of coconuts.
